Digital art is the same as other more traditional art . . . it is just created with a different tool. Art is about the vision of the artist, not the tools that were used to create it. A computer is a tool, just like the camera or a paintbrush, which the artist uses to express their vision of color, composition, line and form. Once the artist has mastered the technique (i.e. software programs) she is then able to go beyond the taking of a digital photo and applying an effect to create a unique photographic piece of art.
