I am retired from over twenty-five years as a graphic designer, most of which were spent in hospital public relations and marketing. . . some with the local newspaper. As a graduate of The School of Visual Arts at Florida State University, I have always felt fortunate to have been able to have a career as an artist.
Photography has always been my true love (I bought my first camera with money I earned selling Christmas cards when I was 11). I managed to combine photography with my job, producing my own photographs for many of the publications I designed. In 2003, I made the switch to digital photography and sold all my old darkroom equipment. Digital photography has allowed me to combine my many years experience as a graphic designer with my love of photography.
A large portion of my work is available for purchase at First Street Gallery in Neptune Beach, FL. where I have been a working artist since 2006.
I grew up in Galveston, Texas but have lived in Jacksonville Beach and Atlantic Beach, Fl since 1976.
